Un nuovo progetto - A new project

Il 2012 sarà il bicentenario della campagna napoleonica di Russia e della battaglia di Borodino (o della Moskowa). Quale migliore occasione per "rigiocare" la battaglia combattuta alle porte di Mosca dalla Grande armèe francese, al diretto comando dell'Imperatore Napoleone, contro l'esercito patriottico della Santa madre Russia, condotto dall'enigmatico Kutuzov?
Così, avviamo la preparazione di una grande partita che si terrà nel mese di Ottobre 2012 a Roma tra migliaia di soldatin in piombo alti 15 mm condotti dai soci del Miles Gloriosus Wargame di Roma e da giocatori provenienti da tutta Italia.
Questo blog riporterà le fasi di realizzazione del progetto, dall'ideazione, allo studio degli ordini di battaglia storici ed al calcolo dei pezzi necessari, alla scelta del regolamento di gioco più adatto, alla pittura dei pezzi alla realizzazione del diorama ed infine allo svolgimento della partita vera e propria.

2012 will be the bicentenary of the Napoleonic campaign of Russia and of the great battle of Borodino (or of the Moskowa). Ther is no better chance to "refight" the battle at the gate of Moscow between the Grand Armèe of the Empereur  and the patrioctic army of the Holy Mother Russia, commanded by the enigmatic Prince Kutuzow. 
So, let's start the project for a great game that will be fight in next October in Rome by the member of the Miles Gloriosus Wargame  and by players coming from all around Italy with 15mm lead miniatures.
This blog will record any moment of the project, from the idea, to the study of the historical orders of battle, and the need of the miniatures and their paintings, to the choice of the rule set, to the realization of the diorama and, at last, to the game.
